Meditation, Hypnosis & Sound Bath

Relax, Recharge & Renew

Heather’s Holistic Health is excited to introduce a new Meditation and Hypnosis Class in our brand-new meditation room!
Tuesday, November 3
12:00–1:00 p.m.
Join Dr. Lisa Heather Torbert for a deeply relaxing, guided experience focused on wellness and supporting your immune health. Settle into a comfortable position, quiet your thoughts, and release the stress and tension of everyday life.

During guided meditation and hypnosis, the body relaxes while the mind becomes calm and focused. As distracting thoughts fade, you may become more receptive to positive, supportive suggestions. These suggestions encourage your subconscious mind to develop healthier thought patterns, reinforce feelings of well-being, and promote greater peace and balance.

The first class will focus on preparing for the winter and flu season through relaxation, positive imagery, and wellness-centered suggestions. Meditation may also help reduce stress and support your overall physical and emotional well-being. Come experience an hour of positivity, peacefulness, and deep relaxation. Leave feeling calm, refreshed, and renewed!

Meditation

Slow down the intense whirlwind of stress by embracing meditation. These skills can help you weave your own path to a strong mind/body/spirit connection. Meditation is a safe and simple way to balance a person's physical, emotional, and mental states.

It is easily learned and has been used as an aid in treating stress, pain management, hypertension, and heart disease. People have practiced meditation for several thousand years. Today, extensive studies show that during meditation, the frontal lobe goes offline, the thalamus reduces the flow of incoming information to a trickle, and the parietal lobe slows down.

Studies have shown that people who meditate have lower blood pressure, use 17% less oxygen, have heart rates lowered by three beats per minute, and increase their theta brain waves (the ones that appear right before sleep). Meditation aims to calm and quiet the mind. People who meditate find that they worry less and are much more peaceful and happy.

Meditation does not have to be complex. It tunes up your thinking and emotions and brings everyday life into sharper focus, with new degrees of ease and harmony. Meditation requires nothing of you but the time it takes to do it. It is best not to eat before meditation, but if you are really hungry, try a nutrition bar or a piece of fruit. When meditating at home, try to create a peaceful atmosphere by disconnecting your phone, closing your door for privacy, and putting any animals out of the room.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a powerful, proven program that taps into the subconscious mind's power. You can reprogram your subconscious to help you change your behaviors and motivate you to change a habit and enjoy doing it. Hypnosis is the perfect tool for re-educating your subconscious mind, the part that creates cravings and impulses. Hypnosis can help you make those changes quickly and more efficiently than you ever imagined possible. Hypnosis is a consensual process, meaning no one can be hypnotized against their will since clients are always in control and can emerge from the process at any time.
